A nose job is also known as rhinoplasty. This is a cosmetic surgery that is designed to alter the shape of the nose. It is different from procedures that are designed to enhance breathing, though in many cases, both cosmetic and functional procedures are performed simultaneously.

We perform rhinoplasty as an outpatient procedure in the comfort of our Joint Commission-accredited in-office surgical suite. After anesthesia has been administered, Dr. Wiesman starts the procedure.

Through the incisions, he reshapes the nose’s structure into the shape that you and he agreed upon during your consultation. The initial period of recovery after a nose job takes 1 – 2 weeks. Throughout this time, bruising and swelling should greatly diminish. Most people look “photo ready” within a month or so.
Our team will provide detailed post-op instructions to facilitate your body’s healing process. For example, you should refrain from blowing your nose and avoid strenuous physical activity for a time. You should also not wear glasses for several weeks and keep your head elevated to minimize swelling.
You can return to most normal activities after the initial healing period. However, it can take up to a full year for swelling to completely disappear and for your final results to become manifest.
